Scientific interest: My research interest lies in the area of space and cancer biology. The primary focus of my work is on studying the alterations in molecular mechanisms under the exposure of two major space stress factors i.e. microgravity and radiation. We aim to elucidate the cellular and molecular changes which may be associated with the risk and progression of cancer to astronauts. My research is mainly focused on studying the effects of the space stress factor on DNA damage and repair pathways.
