Scientific interest: I have two main areas of interest. 1. Chemical Warfare Agent-Induced Toxicity 2. Cancer Biology. My current research focuses on the development of a comprehensive understanding of the vital signaling pathways and mechanism involved in chemical warfare agent-induced toxicity in different organs (ocular, skin, lungs, etc.) and its mitigation using natural and synthetic agents. My other area of research focuses on targeting cancer and its microenvironment and understanding the underlying mechanisms of cancer metabolism and metastasis. During my Ph.D., my research focused on elucidating the mechanism of action of cell death and restricting tumor growth in in-vitro models of breast cancer by dietary phytochemicals.
