Dr. Reenu Punia

Position: Ph.D./ Project Research Fellow at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi

Scientific interest: My research interest in carcinogenesis includes cell cycle progression, apoptosis, cell survival signaling, organ specific carcinogenesis, drug resistance and associated mechanisms in various cancers. My prior interest is to explore the anticancer potential of plant extracts, small molecules (phytochemicals) and find their molecular mechanisms in both in vitro as well as in vivo systems by using latest techniques. Presently working as Project Research Fellow at School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi in a project funded by Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, where I am exploring the anticancer activity and associated mechanisms of Ayurvedic and Unani formulations.
