Dr. Ritis Kumar Shyanti

Position: Ph.D. / Research Associate at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

Scientific interest: My current research interest is focused on cancer stem cells heterogeneous populations of cells present in tumor tissue contributing to cancer progression, metastasis, and drug resistance. Further, targeted therapy can be achieved following the use of phytochemicals and drugs that selectively affect cancer stem cells and improve tumor immunity. Also, I am working on role of small molecules in promoting or inhibiting the proliferation of different immune cells to target specific types of cancer cells.
